I installed the mount on my SG after a lot of back and forth on drilling a hole in my fairing. The instructions want an 11/16" hole for the wire. With the molded connectors and all, it has to be a large hole to get all that to pass through. I ended up drilling a smaller hole though, then cutting the harness and reassembling it after I passed the wire through the smaller hole. That way I didn't have to pass all the molded connectors through a hole, I just soldered it back together on the inside of the fairing. After its all said and done, I do like the clean look of the fairing mount. I hate that Garmin went with a non-removable cable but it all worked out.

If anyone is interested the MoCo has put out a new fairing triple pouch which snaps off the leftmost pouch when the GPS is on the mount. P&A part # 58900-11...funny, this is exactly what I planned on doing to mine. I couldn't figure out how to adapt the mount, so modifying the pouches was the next best thing.

What is the name of that mount? Where did you get it?  What did it take to mount it on the fairing?

I do not know the part number off hand, but it is a Harley part, they sell the mount for with or without dashpad.
