I heard something new from my 18 year old son.  He has several girls that he hangs out with as friends.  This generation embraces the no strings attached, friends with benefits mind set.  He does have one girl that I guess you can call his girlfriend.  We went to our neighbors (ridding buddy) daughters wedding this weekend, and when my friend ask my son were Kalya was, he replied  :D "SHE WAS A HEALTHY SCRATCH"  ;D  where do these kids come up with this crap.  Me being a Hockey fanatic, I knew exactly what he meant!

The joke is = she is a healthy scratch, meaning there is nothing wrong with her ,he just doesnt want to be around her  :o its a sport refference to  many sports HEALTHY SCRATCH , coach just doesnt want to play you,even no there is no injury  :huepfenlol2:

You got it and it's kind of funny but it's not a joke, it's a current expression?  He has a twin sister so after thought about it and chuckeled, I asked him how he would feel if he heard his sister boyfriend refer to her that way?  He shrugged like "oh well"

Titled "kids today" a lot different mindset than when most of us were teenagers.

This is true, but is our current perception of them that much different that our parents was of us, or even their parents of them, and so on?
