Boostaroo (where to put it)
« on: December 19, 2011, 04:34:02 AM »

I have the 2012 Ultra CVO, and i am installing the HDBOMM in order to have the full Garmin functionality (MP3, telephony, ect...)

I am also installing a boostaroo, but since i won't be using the Garmin much for MP3s... i figure it would be best to use it with the ipod...  my question is, where would be the best place to install it in order to amplify the music coming from my ipod?

Thanks for any help you may provide.

Not sure where the iPod is, but I have boostaroo for my garmin and I tapped power from cig lighter and placed the unit on top of radio inside fairing. If iPod is farther away from fairing you can run a male/male extension out to wherever you need it. This way the booster is tucked away from elements.

anyway to add the boostaroo so that it boosts the radio output instead of the GPS output?

not positive on what you mean so maybe this isn't the answer you're looking for, but if your issue is the gps commands are too loud now, you can go into the volume mixer on the gps and lower the turn prompts and turn up xm/mp3 volume.
