Have them on my 2012.  You can't even tell that they are there unless you really look for them, and I don't have to worry about the lids getting scuffed.

I have not seen the Harley version (I have the Motorcycle Armor) but I highly recommend it, whatever brand you select. In my case its also marriage protection. Three heel scuffs but no damage to the paint. In her defense its pretty easy to scuff them getting on the bike. And sometimes she uses the lid as a shelf......Again its marriage protection.

DavidG - have you ever needed to remove the motorcycle armor?  Is it easily seen?

If you do it by the installation video (on their website) and are careful, the only thing you may see are the edges after a couple of waxes. The actual film is see-thru and you can't see that as long as you carefully get the air bubbles out. It was way worth it.

Getting it off is pretty easy too. I replaced a set when they got scuffed up. Free replacements from M/A. They just charge shipping/handling.
