rogerrutley, my friend has the V&H short shots. He has an 06 Dyna Wide Glide. I just helped him change from the original baffles, which have been on since 2007, to the quieter ones. I told him when I saw the quieter baffles which are shorter and plugged at the inlet to divert exhaust around and out instead of basically straight thru that he would gain some bottom end. (Of course we put in the supplied fiberglass packing.) His bike sounds a lot better he sayes he feels like he has more bottom end which is good and they are quieter. He was just over yesterday to shoot some pool and when he pulled away his bike sounded great, no bark, just great HD sound.CAHDBIKER (just for the record he has had a stage 1 HD upgrade since new)

I just changed stock baffles with Fullsac 2" baffles. I have not had much weather to get a true idea of how they help with heat, but I do like everything about them. They were easy to install (thanks to threads on this site and Steve from Fullsac). They sound great and the bike has extra zip. I am going do the X pipe from Fullsac next. The top baffle is the Fullsac and the bottom is the stock 2011 CVO Roadglide baffle. Big difference!

I guess I want it both ways, quiet enough to hear the tunes and loud enough to sound like and HD. Is the 2" too loud for the radio?  :nixweiss:

No radios on, or Fullsac option for, an FXR3. :nixweiss:

will change out my 1.75 fullsac cores Tuesday to 2.0 cores and, weather permitting, will take for a little ride.  Will let you know how it goes but have heard the 2.0 cores are good for cruising also but have a nice bark when you get on it.

If you leave the "packing" screen in the muffler can you'll definitely be able to hear your tunes just fine.  At least I can on my 103.  I should qualify the first part by saying that if you remove the "packing" from the can you'll still be able to hear the radio just fine, but at least in my case, there was a slight "resonanty" obnoxiousness to the sound without the thin layer of damping material lining the cans.

So, will the 2.0" be quieter than the 1.75"?
