Chrome starter
« on: February 27, 2012, 06:55:29 PM »

Just ordered the chrome starter for my FLHXSE3, looks like it’s held on by 2 bolts easy enough, is there anything I should look out for thanks?

Vanimal,   Is that a cover that goes over the stock inner, or is that a new all chrome one,  I think I saw a cover hanging on a wall at the dealers.

Have a Kuryakyn cover on my wife's SE Deuce and replaced the non-chrome inner with a full chrome inner on my   Wide Glide. In all honesty, the cover looks 80% as good as the full chrome inner primary. I actually tried to get a cover for my Wide Glide but because the CVO Wide Glide had been factory lowered, the cover would not fit so I had to go the full chrome inner primary route.

Net, net, if a cover is available, it is a much easier and less expensive option and looks nearly as good. JMHO.

I have the chrome inner on my 04.   Nicest price on the whole motor. I don't think I'll go that route on the new SG. I have no real desire to change out good parts this time.   I am looking forward to traxion tho :-) :P
