checking fitment of touring seats for screamin eagles

Just wanted to make sure that if I buy a touring seat for my 08 serk that theres nothing special about the fitment for these models?? Looking at getting a danny gray solo seat for 2008-2011 touring model bikes. It will fit mine , right ?

Some 08 seats won't fit on a 09, but I've never seen a 09 seat that wouldn't fit a 08. They mount the same, but they fit different around the frame rails.  The seat mount on a CVO is no different than a regular Harley.

Better do more research, I have 07 Screamin Eagle Road King and i think 09 and newer will not work on a 08 and older, I think 09 is when H-D changed the frame  :confused5:

For some reason HD list some touring seats on their site as 2008 and later....strange since the frame changed in 09. Here is an example:

51630-09A

Fits '08-later Touring and Trike models. Installation on '12 FLTRXSE and FLHXSE3 models requires removal of fender trim strips. Seat width: 16", passenger pillion width 14".

best to call manufacturer directly and get the right person on the phone.  I did this when I order my Mustang seat last summer

The seats for my 08 SERK will fit 09 - later touring models but will not fit on my 02 SERK. My guess: I believe 08 the MoCo started using 6 gal gas tank. So the seats fit 08 models and later / touring.  :nixweiss:

  That is correct, its the gas tank, not the frame that is the hang up.
