Highway Pegs question.
« on: March 09, 2013, 09:06:07 AM »

Good morning folks, I just purchased a 2013 CVO Road Glide Anniversary Edition.  I'm trying to get some feedback on which highway pegs  you guys like.  I would like to stay with the SlipStream collection for the peg itself, but kind of curious what you guys can recommend.

Thanks for the thread on the Glare products.  I just started polishing the bike (got the saddlebags done and fairing) and couldn't be more pleased with the results.

Thanks

I was with something a little different but a much cleaner look, Kuryakyn Flip Blades.  Very happy with them.

Here is a thread:  UPDATE 2/11: Cleaner Location for Highway Pegs?

i went with the long angled mounts.  i have short legs so these work good for me.  i have them set so i can rest my heels on the floorboards and my toes on the pegs.  sorta like forward controls.....

I really like these chrome and rubber slotted pegs from HD. They go with anything motif.

That's the same thing I do...makes it easy to shift your foot to the proper position for the rear brake and if you really need to stretch out, just put your heels on them.  I'm short too, so the long angled version works best...even the short angled version, IMO, looks better than just clamping them on the crash bars.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.  I ended up changing out the crash bar to  gloss black with the short angled gloss black mounts.  I went with the mini gloss black floor board highway pegs from Harley.  I am awaiting shipment from lshd, I will post pics when I get and install them.

I like those but just  afraid of ruining then when I scrape the boards.

Those are the Kuryakyn Flip Blades described in Reply # 1. Scraping is not a problem. Look at the Kuryakyn website. The blade itself is hinged so when extended, it won't be damaged. There is a plastic tip underneath that prevents the metal from scraping.  Best of all at least for me, the ride position is perfect.

Tastefully done.  I'm liking the black docking hardware too.  I was wondering which to use on mine (black or chrome) and after seeing yours, I found my answer.
