I just received my order from Rebbecca, another awesome job saving us some coin.  Anyway tomorrow I'm having a friend who works at an Indy replace the bearings and the rear tire.  I needed a new rotor and noticed that the one on the bike has some kind of bolt through one of the slots and the new one I ordered does not.  It is also nowhere near as polished as the one I'm removing.  The part numbers match up so I'm confused which is normal for me.  If this was for balancing it didn't work out to well because I rarely make 5K on a tire although this one has 8K and still has some thread left it's just cupped badly.

Is it ok to install the new rotor after I attempt to polish it.  Advice on polishing needed as well, used 0000 steel wool on the backside with chrome polish but the scratches are to deep.
