OK, after a few days of ownership, I wondering if someone can clarify exactly how iPod song selection works?
Here's what I'm wondering:
If I am listening to a song, and say I want to play an album from an artist, I have to hit the back button until I get out to the top menu, hit artist, then scroll to the artist I want, HIT OK, then scroll the available albums for that artist, and HIT OK AGAIN.
What I seem to see though is that sometimes if you don't hit OK, after a few seconds it will jump back to the current song on the display, and at other times just PAUSING/NOT PRESSING ANYTHING for a second or two will be considered the same as hitting OK, and will start the new album. I swear I've seen both behaviors.
It seems like when it jumps back to the current song, hitting the back button once puts me back into the same point in the menu (ie at the album I was thinking of switching to). I like this as I often take too long to think about whether I'm going to select what I'm really in the mood for or not. But since sometimes it just starts the current menu selection on it's own, it's a lot more frustrating because I may not actually want to listen to that.
Am I missing something?
