2012 Hidden Trailer Hitch
« on: February 26, 2012, 11:43:51 AM »

All the websites on trailer hitches that I have been to seem to have everything you need for a hidden hitch up to 2011 Models.

Anyone installed a hidden hitch on their 2012 model yet?  I would appreciate some pictures, and if there was a 2011 model that worked, let me know.

The Bustec seems to be the path to take, just not sure if they have a 2012 kit yet.

I would imagine the 2011 model would fit on the 2012.  Give Bushtec a call to confirm.  They probably just haven't got around to updating the web site.

Version 2 for the 2012. Are there any others or is Bustec as good as they get? Had one on my wing with no problems just checking if there are others I should look at

I have only had the Bushtec hitch - three of them on different bikes.  The one on my '12 CUSE7 was previously on my '11 RUSE and fits just fine.  I think any Bushtec that will fit an '11 will also fit a '12 - but give them a call and ask.

The 2011 does fit the 2012.  I have a friend with the Bushtec and it mounts clean, and is the most hidden of the ones I have looked at.

The P/N for the 2012 SESG3 can be found at http://www.bushtec.com/product-p/944211-3.htm .   This is the Version 3 ball and hitch.  If you want the Bushtec connection, you need to order Version 2.  You can order the different extensions also if you want to have both.  You need the electric relay isolator kit for the trailer wiring harness also.

Ordered mine this morning.  The customer service rep was very knowledgeable, and walked me through everything I needed for my bike.
