Alarm
« on: March 04, 2012, 02:25:04 PM »

Ok, on my yellow 09 SERG, neither keyfob will deactivate the alarm system. My first thought was a dead fob battery, but both at the same time? Any ideas where to start? Not like I could take it to the dealer, unless the alarm rang out the entire way.

Sounds like your batteries are 3 yrs old. Same thing happened to me. I would replace 1 and see what happens.

If it's not the battery in the FOB, about the only thing you can do is the manual override code explained in the owner's manual.  If you set it up.  If not, the dealer probably left something like 00000 in there.  My dealer puts the same code in all the bikes that leave the sales floor, but I changed mine and recorded it on the little card provided in the back of the OM.
