2011 FLSTC Fuel Gauge Problems
« on: September 14, 2013, 03:00:36 AM »

My 3 rd Heritage S TL Classic in 23 years 14,000 miles and the first with fuel injection therefore the first without a gas reserve, so now I have to rely on the fuel gauge, range indication and fuel low warning light. It worked fine for the first 2 years, with the warning lt showing with one US gallon remaining and range showing 30 miles.
Now ,all comes on early and when I am showing "low range" and out of fuel, I gas up with over a gallon remaining in the tank.- On the safe side but irritating. One can use the trip meter of course, but the range depends on the right hand (Have just toured across France on Autoroutes at 85MPH, different range from cruising at 50) Is there an easy tech fix for this?
