The x pipes will do better for exhaust scavenging and will give slightly better performance.  Not sure the standard butt dyno will detect the difference.

Where would a de-catted 2011 touring header compare?

My understanding is a 2 in to 1 will make the most power.  Check out D&D Fat Cat and run a dummy pipe.  I ran this pipe on my 98 inch motor and I talked to many engine builders and they all recommended this pipe.

X Pipes do a great job as well. I run a Vance & Hines Power dual head pipe with 4" Rineharts now. My brother in law has a 113" motor built similar to my 110 and he has a borzilla 2 in to 1.  His set up has much better low end than my bike.  I think the pipe has a lot to do with it.  My old bike with the D&D pipe had a lot more crack in the whip in the low end if you know what I mean.

Here's a good read on HP & TQ.  More to the equation than just exhaust if you really want to unleash the potential of your scooter.

Thanks for the input . Came off of an 08 seuc with stock head pipe & Fulsac 2" baffles & sert that ran as cool as say a 96. 2012 seuc has Fulsac ceramic x-pipe and 2" baffles & sert (both bikes were dynoed @ same dealer/different tunner) & the heat will blister rt. leg !!!!!! Heat shield 4" away from head reading 375-390 degrees on rear pipe after shut down and 20-30 seconds. That was 85 degree ambient temp. .Bike going into parade mode. What A PIECE OF chit COMPARED TO MY 08 !!!!!!WTF

For me, if it's above 60 degrees the lowers come off. Period! I've also installed and removed the black deflectors like the ones that come stock on your bike many times and I find I prefer it without them. Maybe it's just in my head but the deflectors seem to push the heat onto my thigh a bit more than without.

Even with the best tune these things just run hot. Especially when going slow or at a stop light. It's a big CI motor. My 2011 CVO Street Glide (STOCK with pipes) will easily out run my old 88 CI Deuce (Cams & Pipes) so i've just come to accept the fact that that heat comes with more power.

By the way, the lowers come on and off pretty easy.
