anyone know what this is ?

Changed my fluids pre first ride of this season, pulled the trans dip stick and found this pink opaque fluid,drained and replaced with  syn 3, "factory fluid" i know a lot of you on here dislike syn3, so what do you reccomend ,as a replacement?

That looks like Red Line Heavy Duty Shockproof transmission lube.  One of the best available.  Did you buy the bike used?

Yea got it last april from original owner with 2600 miles on it, you think i should put red line back in it or is syn3 ok?

The Red Line gear lube is far superior to having motor oil in there.

I am going to finish the 1k with the factory Syn3 and then switch over to Red Line. Had it in my 03 too. :2vrolijk_21:

SYN3 is motor oil.  The transmission is a gearbox.  The best approach is to use gear oil in a gearbox.  There are many good choices available to you, Redline Shockproof Heavy is one of them.  Spectro, Amsoil, Mobil1, etc. in 75w90 are also excellent choices.
