Exactly.  Thats why I usually stay south of C'Ville on the BRP and away from Skyline.

Heres one at the Maubry Mill on the lower Blue Ridge Parkway in VA

Nice pic.

The Skyline Drive is about 25 minutes from the ranch.  My wife likes to occasionally head up there after school (third grade teacher), and chill.  We do around 40-45, and drop onto Rt. 211 at Panorama, for the ride home via Little Washington and Flint Hill.  Our summer trip this year will be ten days down the BRP, the Dragon area, and back up through the Shenandoah Valley.   :cucumber:

Have you stopped at Griffin Tavern in Flint Hill?  :2vrolijk_21:

We ride 211 frequently.  Were through Flint Hill 2 weekends ago, but Griffin Tavern was closed for a memorial service.  Ended up at the Main Street Mill in Front Royal for lunch.

Since you live out that way, I'll bet you know where this is..

I've only been on the Blue Ridge Parkway once on my old 2003 Deuce and it was raining lightly and extremely foggy. Rode it basically from the Dragon to Asheville, NC because between the No View beauty and the low speed limit we just couldn't take it anymore. Once off the BRP the bike smiled at me when I shifted to 5th.

Then again I rode the entire Natchez Trace Parkway. Speed limit was 40 or 45 but we did about 50 or 55. We didn't know about the cops until after we stopped off for gas about half way down when the store clerk told us. Got back on. Boom! Speed Traps Galore.

Would love to have the time to ride the entire BRP though.
