Need help wiring in some driving lights
« on: February 23, 2013, 06:53:16 AM »

Can someone point me to a thread that shows the place on the headlight wiring that I've read about that I can tap into power? I'm going to be adding a set of driving lights and want to wire them to come on with the headlights.
I did a search and didn't see anything grabbing my attention.

Thanks

I wired mine in with my spots and used HD-Dudes wiring diagram:

Might have to up the fuse, according to how much your driving lights pull.

I'll check that out. Thanks. The lights are LED so the draw isn't that much.

LED means no fuse change, and wiring that way they stay on bright or dim and you can still turn them off with the spot rocker

I don't have a spot light switch up my Road Glide. I have a power lock switch there instead

If you are trying to go into your headlight my book says yellow wire is for the dims and black is ground. Hope this helps. Also Posi-Products makes nice connections. www.posi-products.com

Well, I can say that I was extremely nervous about taking the nose off off the shark but so far so good. I did find a hot and ground wire right in the headlight harness I'm going to use.  :2vrolijk_21:
