BOOM audio. What to order?
« on: May 02, 2012, 10:39:15 PM »

Hi all, I just joined and have a problem straight up.
I have bought an amplifier, wiring harness and lid speaker kits for a '12 Ultra, '11 SG and a '12 RG. The problem is that the harness I was supplied doesn't fit any of the bikes and the amp is not the same as the OEM one that comes stock on the SG.
Now I see there is a complete kit to make this work (I bought all the previous parts separately) and I have to try and get a refund for the bits I have already bought.

Can anyone recommend a dealer that actually knows what they're talking about with audio systems and can give me the correct part numbers that I need to buy? I'm lost here and it seems I have been sold $3,000 of various sized and shaped paperweights.

I would probably find a person that is reputable in this forum and read their installs before I would talk to a dealer about audio. There may be a dealer out there that has a person who might know something about audio but the treasure is found right here in the search engine. :2vrolijk_21:

You might give Eastside HD a call; they seem to have promoted and done a good amount of audio:

Also, the original post doesn't offer any meaningful information on what you bought--not everything may need to be returned to work.

Although this is a CVO forum, many post here who don't have CVO's, so it would also be helpful if the bikes you mention are CVO models or not.

Good luck with your projects.

Thanks for the replies.
2011 CVO Street Glide
2012 CVO Road Glide
2012 CVO Ultra

What I bought was amplifier 76000141, Harness 70169-06A and speakers 76000202

I'm looking around and I think 76000263 might work which means I can use the speaker kits that I have right?
