LED Headlights Is it wrong
« on: May 13, 2012, 10:07:12 AM »

that my favorite accessory I have ever bolted, screwed or fastened or glued onto any Harley is the three LED headlights I installed on my '09 CUSE?  I ride 47 miles each morning to work at 5:00am down alot of 2 lane wooded roads.  These lights may not keep me from hitting something running out of the woods, but I will darn sure be able to tell what it was.  One of the best investments I ever made on a bike, in my opinion.  My friends at Augusta H-D gave me a great price on them too!

Anything that you can put on a bike that allows you to see or be seen better in low light or night riding conditions has to be good thing.  I have made the choice to go with LED as well.  Too many critters on the roads at night anymore and not just the 4 legged fur covered ones either.

 ::)

I agree they are terrific lights,  but waaaaaaaaaaaaay expensive.   My '39 Chevy with dropped front spindles,  and headlites that (do not) have any up/down adjustments,  are obviously pointing down due to the two inch dropped spindles and rear tires that are bigger than the front tires.

The H.D. LED light kit comes with an adjustment ring,  that I have experimented with and I have concluded that I could modify two of them to fit in my front '39 headlilte shells and then have up/down adjustment too.......................But waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too expensive now to consider.

Meantime,  my Ultra has one plus the passing lamps have been altered too. :drink:

yeah, I put 'em on the '04 and really like them.  :coolblue: Wish they were as noticeable during the day and they are at night....they really light up the night.  My ole tired eyes need all the help I can give them.  :stare: har.  spyder
