Question on TL Phase 7 Head lamp & Passing lamps
« on: May 22, 2012, 10:12:04 AM »

I have purchased and installed the TL Phase 7 LED's and WOW, what a difference.  I can finally drive down a country road and actually see at dusk and night time!  The question I have is that I noticed that the TL lights do not really fit into the passing lamp housing, so I guess you have to put them into the rings and then attach them to the bike?  When I did the swap out I noticed that the H-D lights had a ring that fit onto the back of the passing lamp which looked like it kept the housing inplace  :nixweiss:

As for the head lamp, I too have noticd that it sticks out further than stock. Once I made the swap and started to put it all back together I had a hard time putting the light ring back on, (the chrome retaining ring one with the spring clasp) I think it still needs to be tighter because I have noticed that the light vibrates at idle and while underway.  Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem and what did you do to get it tighter?

For the light sticking out, if you get the Harley accessory chrome headlight trim ring--the one that goes over the stock one, the light will sit flush with it and look much better.
