Suzanne and I rode up to Jasper, Alabama this morning and met Rich (aka Pap) and his wife, Elenor (geez, I hope I got her name right...I'm awful with names). After admiring our bikes and getting aquainted a bit, we rode over to Hickoryland BBQ, where we enjoed some good Alabama pork, cole slaw, and potato salad. After some great conversation, and filling our bellies with food, sodas, and sweet tea, we decided to head out to spend a little time in the wind.
Headed north from Jasper and rode some nice two lanes through the Bankhead National Forest, making a big loop back to Jasper...probably about 100 miles riding with Rich and his wife. Back in Jasper, Suzanne and I headed back to B'ham and managed to get home before the rain came.
Rich and his wife are great folks and we look forward to spending some more time with both of them!! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] [smiley=drink.gif]
Rich has beautiful Haze, with V&H duals and the ovals...sounded great...of course, now there's some more OCD stuff for both of us to get after seeing each other's bikes.
Here's a photo of Rich (Pap) and his wife...a nice looking couple...
