Harley speaker lids speakers, black or white?

Why are some of the pics of the new speaker lids speakers black and other pics are white? The white ones look better. I know the whole speaker kit for $1899 has all the white speakers. If the white speakers are better is it worth $1899 for the kit plus lids and lower fairings?
