Clutch Lever Replacement Info
« on: June 07, 2012, 09:35:18 PM »

I need to replace the clutch lever on my FLTRUSE. Never dealt with a hydraulic clutch so looking for some instructions and info before I dive in.  ;)

Remove the snap ring (#8) then remove the pin (#18).  Might have to loosen the screws that hold the front clamp (#3) to wiggle things enough to get the lever out.  As small chores go it's pretty simple.

Thanks Twolanerider. Already replaced last night. Found a utube video showing the replacement on a V-Rod. Disgustingly easy, especially if you have a pair of snap-ring pliers.  :2vrolijk_21:

Only reason I asked is because I was told you would have to bleed the hydraulic line before replacing. I won't say where I got that piece of bad information................... :-X

Only thing that bleeds is your finger.  And that's only if you mess up :drink: .
