LED Tour pak lamp kit 67931-11 (Can the trim be replaced)
« on: March 06, 2012, 09:17:15 AM »

Just purchased the tour Pak lamp kit 67931-11 and the trim is alot bigger then on the 2011 CVO ultra. My question is would the lights in my kit fit the trim part number 68075-10 of a 2011 CVO ultra.

I believe so, but check with the dealership.  I bought the same light which is what is shown in the P&A catalog, however, there is a CVO version too and in the fine print online it says to check before ordering.

Your LED Light Bar accessory is a replacement/successor to the previous version (see ThunderBeuller's post below for the part nos.) that had the shorter wrap around plastic--your version was introduced because the original accessory version didn't cover the holes in the corner holes of the non-CVO Ultra light bar for those replacing the non-CVO Ultra light bar with the LED version.

You can compare the p/n's of your LED's (they are in the Service Parts list of the instructions) with those used on the '11 CVO Ultra light bar, if you haven't done so already--if they're the same you're good to go; if not, more research.

If you're not too risk averse, you might conclude that it's extremely unlikely that HD would make different LED's for essentially the same product/application w/ the only difference being a plastic extension of the light bar.

Good luck with your project.

Carl

PS:  I looked in the 2010 and 2011 P&A paper catalogs and couldn't find a part number for the shorter version; perhaps it was a mid-year introduction.  Note:  see post below for p/n's; the 2010 version was a mid-year addition.

The 67853-10/67914-10 LED light is in the 2010 Spring Supplemental catalog. Page #32.

I just looked at a pdf of the instructions for the OP's -11 part number and compared them to the parts in my -10 kit and it appears the light assemblys themselves are the same. The frame is different of course for the reasons Carl stated.

I know this is an old topic, but I think it helps maintain continuity with the topic to post here rather than start a new one.
I checked the LED Light assembly part numbers for this kit (#67931-11 or 67932-11) with the LED light assemblies (#'s 54135-10, 54136-10 and 54137-10) for a 2011 CVO Ultra classic and they are not the same, so I guess Harley did have more than one version of LED light assembly made for their tour pak's. Of course I also saw some posts mentioning issues with "spinning mounting posts" for the LED light assemblies in the 2010 LED light kit (#67914-10 or 67853-10). To me, besides the "spinning posts", the biggest issue is getting thr right drilling template to drill holes compatible with the Lamp Housing of a 2011 CVO Ultra Classic Tour Pak.
