So in our end of the world, the stock one worked better......I guess the search continues.
They have yet to put out a shorty or 'hidden' antenna that will pull in stations as well as the whip antenna.  It may only be marginally better......but it's better.  spyder

If they can make a hidden antenna that would be as good or only slightly worse than the shorty I would be ok with that.

I apologize up front, I think my grey matter is taking up residency in my grey hair, so I hope my memory get's it right.

I bought Biketronics Hogtenna. I put it under the hood of my '09 SERK and ditched the rear antenna.

My radio in my garage would scan 22 stations with the stock rear antenna and afterwards it scaned 18. I live in the greater St. Louis area just west of the Missouri river. The install was three years ago and I have not missed the original antenna once.

I will admit of late all I use is my iPod interface, but when I hit the radio it works great.

I tried a Tunetrspper antenna and even without it installed under the fairing, it not acceptable. I tried other powered, but the Hogtenna was worked best for me.

Hope this gives you more info to pick one.
