I'm 62 and serious. I use everything that I own. Ain't got time to wait. Enjoy it.
this man has a very good point, however I'm  as guilty as they get for protecting or hoarding these special little trinkets or toys.  Reminds me of two things, A ship in a harbor is safe, But thats not what ships are made for. and a indian from india who is a psycoligist [sp]  I heard on the radio once said  Take all you cherish put it in your hand make a fist good and tight protect it with all your strength and what you get is stress and a sore tired hand, then take all you cherish put it in your hand and use it as intended  enjoy it put it out there for you and the world to enjoy and though you are taking a chance with it you and the world unselfishly enjoys and benifits.
However I am guilty of making a fist tightly and harboring my cherished pride and joy.    HaHaHa no pun intended :huepfenjump3:
my key still in box never touched it must be too good for me  :confused5:

I bought my wife/BSR a nice gold chain and put the brass (Gold) key on it.  She wears it when we travel on the bike.  It looks great and a nice conversation piece for anyone who notices the Harley logo on it.

That way, it get's used once in a while.  I don't get having something like this and not using it somehow.  Otherwise, it's just a dust gatherer.  JMHO.  :drink:

I went to Michaels (Craft Store) and bought leather strapping. I wear the key around my neck and the brass key set off with  the black leather leather looks awesome. (Then again, I posted here about Jostes rings, so I like to wear some jewelry).

Funny story. I went back to the dealer a week after I picked up my CVO and the finance manager said "nice idea with the key, however you may want to remove the plastic covering on the brass key". Sure enough, it was falling off the one side of the key and looked goofy for sure.

My wife saw mine, went, "Oooh, shiny!", and put it on her necklace. Thought that was a bad idea, but if I ever misplace mine on the road......

Don't think the key is even gold plated. More likely brass and it sits in my dresser drawer to be turned over when the bike is sold some day. As someone noted, it makes a little extra for the next owner, assuming they care about such things.
