I stopped by a stereo shop near where I live and picked up some speaker box cover material.  I paid $16.00 for 25 sq ft.  I tacked it down with some High Performance Loctite spray $14.00 and picked up a 6 pack of Corona to keep me honest.  I had plenty to do both bags and my King Tour Pak.  A little Velcro around the flashlight and allen wrench and I'm Good-to Go
Good idea for holding your saddle bags on. What did you do to hold the nut from falling off behind the saddle back.
Can you post a picture.
