Proud Dad.
« on: February 11, 2015, 08:23:21 PM »

So, my Daughter is going thru an EMT course so she can be a first responder in our community. This is on her bucket list ( she has some things that are strange on that list) anyway she was one of 8 that got called out last night for a code call, not a good ending. But I think she can do this, pretty tough gal. She still holds her full time job, this is something she just wants to do! So, good luck Lyndi. You will be great!

Well done to your daughter!   And to her old man for instilling that type of initiative and responsibility in the woman!  :2vrolijk_21:

My sister is a part time EMT - I believe this takes a special kind of commitment... Congrats and best of luck to Lyndi.

Congrats to your daughter.  I've got one cut from the same cloth.  EMT included like 60 hours in-service with ambulance service and one of her first calls was a suicide which apparently was successful and did not seem to turn her off.  She then volunteered to be a search and rescue diver for the local squad.  Also got great joy out of donating blood and watching people around her faint.  One of her advanced classes after EMT was disecting bodies to study how all is put together.  Odd young lady but I love her.  Maybe she finally found her calling as she is going back to school to be an RN.
