The prices seem to vary depending on the dealer. You have to shop around a little.

Long story short: after reading on here about this Jenny gal giving 20% off of everything--including the extended warranty--I asked my salesman if it could be discounted. Of course he said there was no way this could be done.

Went over his head and mentioned this site (and the 20%) to the sales manager; told him I wanted to keep it local and asked if he'd do 15%. I enjoy a deal like anybody, am not too greedy, and do believe in keeping it local. He agreed to sell it to me for 15% off.

Another incident: I own a small bar and we added an outdoor patio with its own bar. Couldn't find any outdoor barstools that I liked so searched the Internet. Only ones I ended up really liking were HD. Emailed the sales manager and asked if he could get them and if he'd match the Internet price. Happened to just be getting ready to place one of his twice-yearly 'furniture, etc.' orders and agreed to match the Internet price I found.

FWIW.

While each dealer is free to set their own price, I'm pretty certain there is a suggested retail price (MSRP) as well.  If I read the first post correctly, that's what he's asking for, the MSRP prices.  Any dealer should be able to show you an official price list; it's up to you to decide if you believe what he shows you.  I've never found an official source, like on the Harley web site for instance, that publishes suggested retail prices or the actual terms of the contract for that matter.  One more reason I don't trust them.

+1. I called him and he emailed me the price list for the 3,4,5 (5,6,7 if you include the base warranty) year costs... I should be buying this by mid-September.

What are the limitations or restrictions for the plans?

Click on the attached pdf for the price list I found online with prices for new and used as of July 1, 2012.  Note that the price changes after 90 days from the date of the new bike purchase or 2000 miles.  While this looks like something published by H-D Financial Services, I can't guarantee it is absolutely genuine since I didn't find it on a Harley site.
