2013 exhaust/cat question
« on: August 25, 2012, 12:02:52 PM »

Hi All,
New poster. Waiting for the arrival of my new 110th Anniversary CVO Ultra. Will post pics when she arrives.

Exhaust/intake question: Has anyone just put a better breathing intake, removed the CAT, and tuned it with no other changes? Is it worth it? Is there much of a change?
Any input would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Do a full sac system will not be disappointed. Have it on my 12 cvo and will do the system on the 13 I just ordered

The stock Ventilator intake is high flow already, the only reason to change it would be for looks.  It's more than enough for an unmodified/lightly modified motor.

Removing the cat will reduce the heat problem a little.

Personally, I would get a fuel controller (TTS) and have it dynotuned.  Makes a HUGE difference.

+1 on the fullsac, easy to do and it makes a big difference.  Way less heat by your right foot and as mentioned with a dyno tune it will run great.  That's what I have on my 12 RGSE, big difference.
