Leather Seat
« on: October 26, 2012, 06:07:22 PM »

Well I finally did it.  My expensive bike came with the standard cheap Harley seat that is falling apart.  Instead of spending money at the Harley Shop, I had my seat recovered in leather.  Turned out great. Lot less expensive than buying a new one also.

Since the job was done so well, I would like to Give a big shout out to the "Twisted Stitcher"  Denver Colorado.  303-518-2548[/img]

They did not need to add foam.  The cost for me might be a little different then what they would charge you.  I gave a good friendship.

However, with that said,  it was much cheaper than all of the other stitching companies I looked at.

They did a great job.  The leather looks thicker.  :2vrolijk_21:

MUCH better than that stock seat.  I agree with DanteD...MoCo should make them that way from the start.  Does look "thicker" than the stock seat so must be leather/stitching as you stated no added foam.  Let us know how it rides long distance.... :2vrolijk_21:

Sorry, but that would mean the company would want to make a good seat!

If you don't want to say what you paid, maybe find out what he would charge Joe Blow off the street, and give everyone an idea of the cost. This way you may be actually sending some business their way if people think it's a reasonable deal to ship their seat to them for work.

Let me get a hold of them.  I will let you know.
For those of you who made the comment about thickness of the leather.  Yes.  It is much thicker than the original material.  Much more comfortable.

I could not be happier.

Spoke with Deb today. She does not want to put prices out there because of all of the different options.  She would rather give you a customized quote.
If you are interested she is on face book "The Twisted Stitcher"
