Hard to believe. In VA they are trying to repeal the helmet law and the facts support it.

Thanks. It seems so odd that people really worry about helmet laws, but
when it comes to cars, we can't change anything without getting a ticket!!!
Worse yet, I'm thinking we need more then helmets to protect us from
the cage drivers.

I agree!   We need to teach people to drive and to "see"  M/C riders.  Helmet Laws are not the answer.  I also call BS on these numbers.  Check out NHTB for more accurate believable numbers (national Highway Transportation bureau)   These numbers are just more inaccurate propaganda.  Reminds me of when they were trying to pass helmet law in CA.  The numbers that were thrown around were all proven to be bogus AFTER the law passed!!!   I wear a helmet but just a little research will show these numbers as bogus or t the very least inaccurate!!!

It's NPR, part of the far-left's Total Control System, so what do you expect?  They hate the independence, freedom, and individualism of motorcycle riders, because those are the kind of people who'll fight against their agenda of gun control and subservience to the gov't.  They believe that more onerous restrictions help condition us to accept gov't control, instead of gov't by the people and for the people.

BTW, don't think I'm a fan of far-right gov't:  I want the gov't to do less, and to get out of our lives, because it doesn't matter whether a gov't is far-right or far-left, the result is the same--more interference in our lives, and less responsive to the people.

OK, off my  :soapbox:
