If you did a site "search", you would find many similiar threads with lots of lifter advice...

Personally, I use these...  http://www.sscycle.com/product/Twin-Cam-88-and-96/Valve-Train/Tappets/Tappet-Set-p20363.html

So, you're sayin' you don't have any of those ones in the used lifter box yet, Scott? :nixweiss: :huepfenlol2:

A few...but those are "preventative maintenance".  Most other brands are "actual maintenance".

I don't trust any of them in these motors....  :)

Talk to Jim (HD-Dude).  He is only using the S&S lifters nowadays...

Gatormen lifters have been wokring out great for us. Price wise they offer a more budget minded item and have stood up to the big inch builds without issue thus far.

I used AMS Johnson-Hylift Lifters from

http://www.automotivemachine.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=46&Itemid=53#lifters

so far-so good.

I've used these in three bikes and for a lot of miles and never had a problem at all.  Steve is good to deal with too.
