Tuning Questions
« on: October 28, 2012, 10:42:04 AM »

I know next to nothing about tuning a bike and not much more than that about computers.  But I would like to get a tuner for my bike and hopefully not need to get it dynotuned.  The experience that I have had with local tuners on past bikes isn't the best.  Anyway, my bike is a 2012 CVO Street Glide.  Performance wise it is all stock except for 4 inch Rinehart mufflers with the standard baffles that come with those.  I have the Vance and Hines Dresser Duals that I have not yet installed, but will over the winter.  From being on this forum, it looks like the TTS Mastertune may be the tuner of choice, so I am leaning toward buying that.  Do you think the chances are good of getting the TTS with a map that will work well with this setup?  It doesn't have to be perfect, but I want it to run well with little or no decel popping.  Does everything come with the TTS and, if not, what else will I need?  Thanks for your help.

I don't think that TTS is a good choice for someone with little tuning knowledge and limited computer experience. If you are looking for a tuner that has automated tuning that requires limited computer and tuning knowledge, I would strongly recommend the DynoJet Powervision. You can read more about it here http://www.fuelmotousa.com/powervision.htm and here http://www.dynojet.com/PowerVision/

I checked out the Power Vision and it seems like what I'm looking for.  Thanks for the info.

You need a good dyno tune on your bike, the canned map will get you close but that's about it.
