Requesting updates on HDPDPLUS2 iPOD

Wanting to know how everyone is doing with this interface. 
I was all set to go this direction and then talked to a local guy who said his failed to work after one season.
Just wanted to make sure this is not the norm. 
I had not read here or heard of any problems with these.
So I guess I just wanted to hear from some long term users before buying.

I have sold and installed many of these and not had any issues.
