I also loaded mine and Terrie's bikes by myself, on our dual rail Kendon....when taking them to Jim for work.  I would just ride them up, also.

After a bad experience at Freedom Cycles in Reno, with the OEM ramp (the ramp shot out from under the back tire and the bike dropped down on the frame with the back wheel hanging off the trailer.....that's what everybody has been cautioning about the stock ramp), I got a folding aluminum ramp from Jim.  Wider surface, much stronger and much more secure.

The trailer tows perfectly, loaded or empty.  My only gripe, if I have one is the difficulty in securing the back end of the bikes to keep them from walking sideways when you hit a bump or pothole.  Partially due to the trailer design and partially due to the fact that there's no secure tie down point on the new frames. :nixweiss:

But every time I took the bikes to the shop (Jim's Metal Dragon), I'd usually end up with over 300 miles on a round trip because I'd usually swing by to visit Don or Andy.

JC,

You're a lot taller than me, and don't have the "personal ground clearance" issues I do,.....LOL!!

And I know you told that ramp story before, but I just forgot about it. I'm thinking of a longer folding ramp too as it will lessen the grade of the incline up to the trailer. I am also considering swapping out the Kendon wheel chocks for something else.
