baffle question here.
« on: December 17, 2012, 12:08:16 AM »

I have an 03 road glide with a lot of work. 103" 102hp and 109 torque. question is love the way it runs but thought I would try different mufflers. I bought a set of KC internationals megaphones which look and sound like cfr's. I love the way they sound but they stumble badly off of take off and lost all my torque.  I was wondering if anyone had tried either the gpop mini baffles which is sort of a butterfly or the big city thunder in header option. or does anyone out there have any other options to explore.
thanks
John

Those type of mufflers are a give and take usually... You take great sound but give up your torque..if you can find a very experienced tuner that will def help but will lose all the savings....$$$

thats true. trying not to go back to dyno before I have some type of return of back pressure. thats why I was wondering if anyone tried these. http://www.gmanindustries.com/shop/pc/viewPrd.asp?idproduct=569&idcategory=75
I had another exhaust system  that I put a huge washer and it corrected the back pressure and this sort of reminds me of the patriot  butterflies.

Hey for 20 buck what you got o lose ? Go for it...I put a set of big city thunders in my Vance Hines big radius and they sound awesome and gave my back some lost performance...
