A few weeks back we were stuck in the lovely Chicago traffic trying to park for the air show. The bikes were very hot from all of the ideling and our horns had that low dull sound. Once the bikes cooled off they were fine. Mine and DJW's 06 glides had the problem the RK's in the group did not.

Assumption: Heat also effects these horns.

The stock horns are so cheap I imagine the gravitational pull of a 767 at 35,000 feet would affect them.  IMHO, if you really use your horn, you need to find a good replacement.

I changed mine to a Stebel air horn right after I bought the bike. Now I get their attention !
They are a lot chaeper than the H-D horn and they work great.

You know, if you hook the battery up backwards...your lights will cast shadows, the radio will listen and your air horn will suck.
