In my book, 50 Mpg = Pi$$ Poor Performance - doesn't it??
Cheers

Nope...50 is quite common actually. Helps when you don't have the billboard up in front of you like the batwing bikes pushing all the wind.

I'm not riding like a granny either. The 110 performs QUITE well. You'd be amazed at the guys that spend lots of $$ thinking they are getting bang for their buck when in reality, they are hurting the performance. Take mufflers...most think that SOUND equals performance. NOT! Have a set of flowmasters on the old chevy...not loud at all but they sure do perform! Have you ever herd of someone spending $800 on an exhaust and say they got taken and the bike performs worse? Hardly! They always LOVE IT...it runs so good now!! Sure..it just pings all the time and gets crap for mileage...but because they spend all the $$ it's all good.
The air filter that everyone is calling "paper" IS a high flow air filter. Maybe it's why everyone is not getting the #'s as posted? They are automatically swapping out everything that we used to in the "olden days" instead of thinking that it might be right? Just because they LOOK like bikes from yesteryear doesn't mean they are.
50mpg doesn't mean poor performance.
