I run Lucas additive in my Road Glide with gear drive cam alot less noise and SYN3. About ready for an oil change thinking of giving Amsoil a try without Lucas at first.

I also run mobil v-twin with the lucas oil in my 113" with roller rockers and it is much quieter than the syn-3 it replaced.  quieter has to be better right? [smiley=nixweiss.gif]

I was more concerned about cold weather starts, I almost didnt put the lucas in my bike when I seen how thick it is..so I figured higher oil pressure+the fact lucas is like molases,,it was harder on warmups,,for i notice extremely high oil pressure only the first few miles of a cold start,,did quiet the motor though....and on another note the mobil-1 v-twin oil seems alittle on the thin side(or am I obsessing again!!) thank for the replys,,,

I'm not familiar with the Lucas Oil product, but if it is anything like STP oil treatment I would not suggest using it, especially in cool or cold weather.

Back when I was in school (the dark ages), I had a fuels and lubricants lab where we tested many products, including viscosity's of various oils and additives.
