I have bought a set of cvo mufflers off a 09 cvo road glide do or do they not have cats in them if so what is the best way to remove them I would like some tips or maybe a link or pitcher or two the search turned up a bunch got a grate deal $75.00 one small ding on cover one small ding on tip going on a mostly stock 103 no cat in headpipe stock air cleaner.

The catalytic converter on the '09 and later Touring models is in the collector section of the headpipes, not in the inlet of the mufflers as was common on the earlier models.

there is no cat in the head pipe of 09 the  10 and up had them in the headpipe thats why I was wondering about these mufflers.

The 2009 110's / CVO,s had cats in the head pipe.  The standard bikes did not until 2010.  As you can see, I have an '09.

I have a 09 and the head pipe had a cat in it.  And I'm in Mississippi

Not telling tales out of school but I believe the 49 state standard touring models had the cat in the muffler and header was clean/open (as was my '09 SG).  The '09 CVO's were different in that they had the cats in the header, not the SE mufflers.  The California models are a whole, 'nuther animal and I don't have much experience with those.  However, there are quite a few members that do and can speak to them.

recore them with the FULLSAC cores, check the web site there is a how to that should inlighten/inform you on how easy it is to do, plus they sound great

ALL 2009 CVO Touring bikes (US models) and California models came with cats in the headers!

hey jack, thanks for seat. I posted something in buyin sec for you. I'm gettin ready to work on stock slip-ons for friend. (2011 sg). He just wants to see if he can get the same results I did with removing the plugs from my seuc. So
