  I updated my 665 today using Garmin Express and it seems to have worked for the most part.  My PC now sees a problem with the 665 and wants to "scan and repair" the device, so far I'm saying "skip it". Not a big issue right now.
  So now I have 2013.4 maps loaded on the 665, but mapsource didn't update.  Can someone remind me how to update the mapsource maps?
  I did make a route in BaseCamp today, that kind of sucked.
  And by the way, this is my first post on this site!  Been hiding in the shadows for awhile but finally decided to ask a question.

When you run the update it "should" give you a choice (not exactly sure where using Garmin Express) to update just the device (default choice); device & computer; computer only.  You will have to connect your 665 to your computer and run the update again - this time selecting to update computer only.  It will be a good bit faster than when you updated just the 665.

  Thats what I thought but I couldn't find the place to make that choice.  Man I hate Garmin.  I'm going to try calling tech support tomorrow, or sometime next week.  Had enough for one day.

If you already have MapSource on your PC and a previous map set is installed, run the Map Updater software after downloading it from the link in the first message of this thread.  Run it without a Garmin device connected and without running MapSource.  When it finishes installing, open MapSource and you should see both map sets installed (the old one and the new one).  If so, then close MapSource and click Programs and Features in Control Panel.  Scroll down in the list of installed programs until you see "Garmin City Navigator North America NT 20xx.xx Update."  You should see both the new map set version (2013.4) and your old map set there.   Just unistall the old map set.  Caution:  Do not uninstall the old map set without seeing the new one.  If this happens, MapUpdate won't work correctly until you uninstall and then reinstall MapSource....

I too am about sick of Garmin.  Took four hours to get the new update loaded, but would not load to my 660 said no space.  The new map is on my Mac but now I can not get it to unlock.  In the three years I have had this not one time has everything gone right.  Last time I could not get the maps on the computer.  Every single update has had some issue, and never the same, and every one has required calls to Garmin.

Garmin express will not let you load Maps to your computer. 

I had to remove it and reinstall Lifetime map updater.
