LED Turn Signals
« on: April 03, 2013, 09:07:39 AM »

OK, I decided to bling up the front of my scoot. Desert Hog (Simon) installed the Daymakers on his bike and his tutorial gave me the courage to tackle it myself.  But first I had to rip out the HID's which were a nightmare to reinstall anytime I pulled the upper fairing apart for mods or maintenance. So I jumped in with both feet and got it done. Now the scary part. I also want to install Dynamic Ringz Bullet LED Turn Signals 1157. That part is easy. However, the LED's requires a signal stabilizer. There is no pics w/ the instructions.  Now I know it's under the seat and close to the battery. I have the battery exposed, where exactly is this plug?............ ...The SS8 Signal Stabilizer is a 8 pin plug. ..............................................Fuzz ..................:nervous:

Fuzz, the 8 pin plug you note is mounted low on the rear fender close to the brace.  It's actually "clipped" on the fender with a plastic mount.  The signal stabilizer (I'm assuming you are using the one from Custom Dynamics) has some extra wire.  Here's pictures that will help.  First one is of the 8 pin plug mounted to the fender

This next one shows how I mounted the blue, waterproof module and routed the extra wires.  I tie wrapped it to one of the plugs as shown.  Worked great and moved it out of the way.  You may have a better idea....just showing you how mine turned out.

And the last one.  I stuck the extra wire and Custom Dynamics plug down this hole just below where the stock plug mounts.  I know this is probably more than you really wanted/needed but pictures always help me.  Hope this helps... :2vrolijk_21:
