Fullsac Stage II, DX pipe
« on: March 30, 2013, 08:42:33 PM »

Just got back from Faribault Harley Davidson with dyno results.  The bike has the Fullsac Stage II, now with the new DX pipe,
having the 2.25 baffles.  There were two baseline runs, fairly rich throughout the mid-range.  Then tuned, ended up with a
nice smooth flat line of A/F ratio.  Not only pleased with the results, pleased with service, support etc. that Jason provided.
Highly recommend this dealership for tuning etc. :2vrolijk_21:

PS Now if the weather would cooperate to be able to ride :-\

Hi Danny

Thanks for posting your chart, pretty stout numbers! Did they install a .030 head gasket?

All the same parts were on the bike.  I had the B-pipe on it before.  Removed it and added the DX-pipe.
So he ran a baseline to see where it was at.

So if I understand what you're saying, and by looking at the chart, there is basically zero difference between the "B" pipe and the new "D" pipe?

No.  The B-pipe was removed before the dyno run.  The base line and final runs were all DX pipe.  If I recall the dyno runs /tune
with the B-pipe, my numbers were 104, and 118.  Also, the tuning was not done at the same place but both use DynoJet's for the dyno.
The baseline was rich to start as of last year I began to get some pinging, fuel octane issue.  There was some timing removed, and fuel added to my tune
sent email and downloaded  myself  which took care of the problem.  Now adding the DX pipe and starting over, it was rich on the baseline runs,
then with the tune, found hp and torque.  Our main concern was the A/F ratio, and as you can see it is a definite straight line and as for the numbers, it is what it is...
Once again, thanks to Jason at Faribault Harley!

Any chance you could post your dyno sheet with the B pipe?  Like to see the tq curve difference.

I realize the runs were done on different days / machines / etc. Thanks.

Thanks for sharing SHRK2TH.
I will be following this thread.
I am also wondering what the difference is between the Fullsac headers.  I have the Stage I setup with the X pipe, and I am happy with it but I know at some point I will look at the cams.

JW,

I tried to load the run twice with the B-pipe.  Anyway the numbers of that were 101.64, and 117.02.
Comparing the runs, the DX comes on quicker and has a wider band.

My tuner called me and my bike is finished. I lost a little switching from D&D to the full sac system, but......it is a different Dyno than he used before and he told me going in that the wind/ventalation sucked in this Dyno room so don't look for big numbers. I told him I don't really care just want a good tune with proper fuel and air mixture. I will post the sheet when I get it tomorrow but it made 110hp and 117tq. Was 112/121 with D&D so close enough for me!
I like the factory look and the 2.25 cores sound awesome. Now for some 6" tips!!!!

Hope to get less heat too!
Thanks Fullsac!!
