Spot Lights
« on: August 02, 2013, 02:22:17 PM »

Has anyone installed spot/flood lights on their crash bars?  Im looking for something temporary.  Im not into the auxiliary/combo turn signals at the fairing.  I would only be using these for endurance rallys.

I had a set of the HD lights on my crash bar back on my '02 Softail.  They didn't provide a ton of additional light onto the road at night, and reflected back off the chrome lowers I had on that bike also.  The only great thing about them is that it made the bike more prominent from the other idiots on the road.

I have seen, and do like the spots that mount lower on the bike on the front tire axel covers, and they seem to light up the road one heck of a lot more from my friends that have them installed.  That would be more involved and not as temporary.

I do a lot of long distance night riding and spent a lot of time finding the best option.

Best I've been able to come up with for illumination, size, and current draw is these little babies.

For something small that puts out lots of light you should check out Motolights..they are usually not easy on an off though...
