Need some help on my Hawg-Wired System

I have PSC/DX/RA Front-to-Back four speaker system. (2 speakers in fairing, 2 in tour pack)

I also have a detachable tour pack which seems to be off more than on….that being said….I was thinking that since I have the equipment to drive rear speakers….why not install some saddlebag lid speakers and hook them to the tour-pack leads while the tour pack is removed. :cucumber:

I was looking at the painted speaker lids from HD…..but what I don’t know is which speakers to use.  I think the HD Boom speaker are 2 ohm and I also noticed that Hawg-Wired as a set they say will fit in the lid but are 4 ohm and also come with a crossover(not sure what that’s for).  Hawg-Wired also offer lids with speaker in them.  Not what's the best way to interface with the current system I have.

I would appreciate any comments and recommendations.

Thanks

Cat, Your idea to add the lid speakers is a good one, Hawg-wired has 5x7 speakers that will bolt right into the HD bag lids. Speakers retail at 179pr and we have them in stock.

They will sound much much better than the rear pod speakers so you most likely will not ever use your pods again when you hear these.

Thanks HD-Dude

I noticed that Hawg-wired offers the lucky lid 13's

What is your option on those?

Thanks

They are fine but for the money I like the HD lids with 5x7's better. you also give up less saddlebag space with the 5x7's.

Had the same question... thanks for asking it!  :)

Will be hitting HD Dude up when I get back home! If you find a good source for the lids, let me know!

Tri County is seem to be the best for me.....good service and discounted prices

Along with the lids you will also need to order the speaker grills and speaker gaskets (not sure if the Hawg Wires speakers comes with them)
76000181  SPEAKER GRILL right
76000180  SPEAKER GRILL left
76000274  GASKET  (2)

The only thing left to check is what type of wire disconnect is needed tie into the harness.

Then I think I will be ready to pull the trigger.
