Battery for 2003 SERK
« on: April 11, 2013, 09:12:25 AM »

Looking for a replacement battery for a 2003 SERK . . . Just a retro PC V and auxiliary passing lights on it.  My stock battery crapped out after 11 years . . . Time for a new one.

I don't need an HD branded battery . . . So other brik & mortar options, even online options?

Thanks.

Check out the ETX30L.  Marketed as Deka or East Penn Manufacturing.  They're the OE for Harley batteries.  With a little shopping the ETX30L can usually be found for around $100.

Just checked Amazon and found one for listed for $100 shipped.  Just search by ETX30L.  Many of us here have used this battery.

There are multiple threads on the site concerning replacement batteries.  This is one such thread:

X2 agree with Twolane put the same Deka battery in the wifes 03' RKC. Fit perfect, no problems. Shopped around Amazon and Ebay, I think I found one on Ebay for like $97.00 with free shipping. It will make your search easier if you use the model number of the battery that you need.

Saw Amazon was using BatteryMart . . . Just ordered mine from BatteryMart Direct . . . $100 shipped.  I think I have been pretty fortunate to get 11 years out of the first one.  Thanks to all for saving me some hefty coin on the second one!

11 years.... Sweet....  Yeah, you can't complain about not getting your money's worth from that one.  I'm a chicken chit with batteries whose too old and lazy to want to risk having to push start the damn bike somewhere away from home so I replace them at four years old.
