Arlen Ness Lowering Kit for Softails
« on: April 12, 2013, 08:40:22 PM »

I'm wondering if anyone has installed these and what they think.  I have an 02 Standard and just put them on this afternoon, but have not rode the bike yet.  They were not as easy to install as what a YouTube videa showed, but I got them on.  I still have to adjust ride hieght in the morning and if the weather is decent I will take it for a ride.  One of the things I was wondering from those who have installed these, did you have trouble getting the stock bolt out to be able to put the Arlen Ness piece in?  Both of the bolts in both of my shocks were a bitch to get out.  The YouTube videa showed him screwing the old ones out easily.

I installed these on two different Night Trains (2002, 2008) and never had a problem getting the stock bolts out.  That is very weird.
