HD Chrome Front Engine Mount Bracket #16205-10
« on: April 27, 2013, 06:47:24 AM »

So I buy Harley's beautiful billet mount only to find I can't get the right side bolt in place (right side frame tube in the way!) No mention of this in directions, just says unbolt old one, bolt in new one. Without loosening all other mounts, and shoving engine to the right, I don't see any other way to sneak in the right side 2" bolt. Stock mount uses shorter bolt because stock bracket is thinner. Just wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue, and what they did to resolve it.

As always thanks for your help, and thanks to those that created and run this site!

I had the same problem. I put the bike on the lift and the holes lined right up. I believe when it is on the sidestand it leans too much. If you don't have a lift have some sit on it.

Gotta do it with bike on a lift.   Then everything will line right up.  No way the stabilizer link would line up either.  On a lift its really not too tuff of a job .

Thanks much, have it on a table lift, I will switch over to bike jack.
