Red light is on, what to check.
« on: June 23, 2013, 08:40:12 PM »

Hello,

My red 'security light' is on !
It's the one on the right, beside the cruise control light and the engine check light on my Road King 2013.

What should I check ? The owner booklet is very poor...

Is there an on-line technical documentation, if not what should I buy to have real info on this bike ?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Manual says, that a lamp that remains illuminated longer than four seconds while the system is disarmed indicates that the module needs servicing.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Greg,

So running with this light on should not cause damages ?

Local seller is not free before 2nd week of July, I know, as I've made an appointment for 1st 1800 km check...

I'd say that if the bike is operating as usual It should be safe....

If sirens aren't sounding.

It starts as normal.

No drainage in startup system.

By drainage at startup you mean not feeling like having a flat battery ?
